Since the mid 90's, giant corporations have bought up and destroyed local radio stations across our country.
Without having millions of dollars to compete with them, regular, local folks like us didn't have a chance.
Most small-town stations were gutted and local air talent were replaced by canned, syndicated programming.
That feeling of having your favorite local DJ right there with you was taken away.
No more talk about hometown events, community news, or local businesses.
They owned our airwaves and we couldn't do anything about it.
Until now.
The internet is the great equalizer.
Most people now get their music, news, sports, and weather via their smartphone.
The days of AM/FM Radio and a physical newspaper are fading fast.
Our smartphones have become a mainstay in our daily lives.
And we want to be a part of YOUR daily life.
We are the All New Pirate Radio 121.
Based out of The Colony, Texas. Our goal here is simple:
Put the "community" back into 'Community Radio'.
Although our reach is global, our focus and programming is for our local community.
Lake Lewisville, Pier 121 Marina, The Colony, Lewisville, Carrollton, Little Elm.
These small, suburban communities have been swallowed up by the ever-expanding Metroplex.
And our once, small-town feeling has been fading away with that growth.
We would like you to join us, to help create that small, hometown radio community again.
